Sina Microblog Android Client Adds App Download & Management Feature

Sina's (Nasdaq: SINA) Weibo microblogging service recently released a new version of its Android mobile client with a newly added app management feature. The app management feature allows users to view detailed descriptions, screen shots, and user comments of apps by clicking on them within Sina's Weibo client. The client also allows users to directly download and install new apps through the client interface. Sina Weibo's new app management feature is also able to manage apps already installed on user handsets, providing users with upgrade services for their apps.

Currently, Sina Weibo has begun cooperating with other app download platforms including Qihoo 360's (NYSE: QIHU) 360 Mobile Assistant, AppChina.com, Baoruan.com, and Hiapk.com, amount other app download marketplaces, and is also leveraging its own social networking site to promote new apps.
