Huawei Wins Brazilian LTE Equipment Contract

Brazilian telecom operator Telefonica (Vivo), part of the Telefonica Group, has selected telecom equipment makers Huawei and Ericsson to provide telecom equipment for Vivo's Brazilian 4G LTE network. China's Huawei will provide infrastructure in the cities of Fortaleza, Recife and Rio de Janeiro, as well as the south and northeast of the country (excepting Bahia), according to TeleGeography.
