Chinese telecom equipment and terminal manufacturer Huawei will establish a research and development subsidiary in Taiwan, according to the Taipei times. Huawei operates 23 R&D centers worldwide.
In Taiwan, where LTE spectrum is expected to become available in H2 2013, Huawei hopes to position itself to capitalize on the 4G business opportunity.
