VIPStore to Start Selling Macy's Merchandise in February

Tencent Tech, 12/14/12

Chinese luxury goods B2C e-commerce site operator VIPStore announced recently that it will begin exclusive sales of products under the Macy's brand in February 2013. VIPStore CEO Allen Yang said that the company will make a major change to its operations model, shifting away from its former focus on limited-time sales promotions in favor of sales of new, seasonal, full-price Macy's products, with limited-time sales as a supplementary model.

VIPStore adjusted its employee headcount in August 2012 as part of a strategic restructuring. The company will complete reorganization efforts this month to pave the way for its new services, and will further decrease employee numbers.
