Rumor: Lenovo in Talks to Acquire HTC

Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer Lenovo (0992.HK) has reportedly been in talks with HTC (2498.TW) to purchase the Taiwanese mobile handset manufacturer since August. Lenovo has proposed keeping the HTC brand name as a part of its acquisition. The two companies will announce the results of the negotiations by H1 2014 at the earliest.
